Joe Baretta

Born and raised near Detroit, Michigan, Northern California singer/songwriter Joe Baretta started playing and performing music at a very young age, sitting in with my uncle’s band and perform on local TV.

He has performed alongside musical greats such as Charlie Musselwhite, drummer Chester Thompson (Genesis, Frank Zappa), Red Hot Chili Peppers/Chickenfoot drummer Chad Smith, Mary Wilson (The Supremes), Gatemouth Brown, (late Steely Dan/Doobie Brother saxaphonist) Cornelius Bumpus, Pee Wee Ellis (sax, James Brown, guitarist Gary Hoey, the Tower of Power Horn Section, and more.

Joe has composed music for CBS (The Young and the Restless), Chico Avila, local car dealerships, Dodge Ridge Ski Resort, and many other clients.

His latest release, entitled Baretta, was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee. The album flows through many different styles of music and moods. Two of the tracks were featured on the CBS daytime drama, The Young and the Restless. He currently spends his time performing and composing songs for himself and other publishing projects.
